POLITIX: MY LP SCORE

Take the quiz here

Thinking of Libertarians ... the Free State Project is an interesting concept.
excerpt:
What do we mean by "liberty"? Our members' philosophy is that being free and independent is a great way to live, and that government's maximal role should be to defend individuals from force and fraud.
I don't want to paraphrase politics in this forum too much. So check it out for yourself.

NEWSING: $4 PER MONKEY
I was cruising Technorati Current Events and came across this story about the monkey infestation in New Dehli.
excerpt:
A monkey-catcher has been hired by the agencies responsible for the security of Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.

The Red Fort in Delhi, from where Mr Vajpayee is due to give his address on Friday, is infested with monkeys.
This reminds me, I need to go see 28 Days Later with the alternate ending. Monkeys are pretty freaky. That's all I gotta say about that.

Though, if you want to buy the ugly sock monkey pictured, visit Think Geek Cube Goodies.

CARS: DELOREAN
Recent IM from my affiliate rep:
LadiesMLeon: Sup home skillet?
NoahTheGoose: sup champ
LadiesMLeon: Check this out
LadiesMLeon: http://www.dealsonwheels.com/search/detailbig.cfm/Autos__ID/202151
LadiesMLeon: I want to buy it
NoahTheGoose: super sweet
NoahTheGoose: i want:
NoahTheGoose: http://www.delorean.com/sales.asp
LadiesMLeon: LOL

It was kind of a joke that I pointed out that vehicle. Then I searched more on www.delorean.com and a guy can pick up a refurbished one, straight from the company for about $35,000. Yeah, it's out of my price range right now. But, so is their cool watch.

Maybe I could get one outfitted with a Mr. Fusion?

LOCAL BAND: ANAL BLAST
In a media blitz, I think, over their current release, "Version 5.OBESE", Minneapolis grind/porno/death band, Anal Blast, sent our radio stations packs of CDs, post cards and t-shirts. I scored the My First Period t-shirt.

The brief music I heard off of one CD was pretty straightforward death/grind. Nothing I really care for. I'm sure if I could discern the lyrics they wouldn't appeal to me either. On top of that, their Web site (WARNING) is quite vulgar. Plenty of pornographic images stolen from other Web sites (I imagine).

I can officially say, Anal Blast is not my bag, baby. But, nothing says rock-n-roll like those guitars.

    STARSTRUCK: ROB ZOMBIE p2
Well, I wasn't starstruck. Rob Zombie was cool enough. I haven't seen HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES. Word is it's a take it or leave it kind of movie ... also, *so they say* fans of B film noire may be impressed.

I'm impressed with the picture I took:

I'm meeting Rob Zombie in about a half hour. As with all celebrities that come to the office, I seem to be the bathroom attendant. We'll see, huh?

    MOVIES: FREDDY VS. JASON
In theaters this week is Freddy vs. Jason. I had the chance to see the flick last night and I was mildly charmed. I went in with really low expectations ... so I came out enjoying it.

It had all the elements to be a typical teen slasher flick. 1) Obligitory nudity in the beginning (though this time around the girl was definately siliconed). 2) Dim lit camera going around corners - set to creepy music, only to be the first victim's friends at the door (just to get your blood moving). 3) Plenty of blood -- over 3000 gallons of fake blood!

I guess I'm hitting the age where horror flicks are not keeping me on the edge of my seat. It takes a mindmesser like Blair Witch Project or a 28 Days Later to get under my skin. Not to say I did not jump when Jason snapped people in half ... that will always be great! It's just that now, it's not tangible. Those who know me know I can't get through The Shining. That's tangible! Mental disorders are far more common than resurrected child murderers.

Next up on the horror-rama: Texas Chainsaw Massacre - can't wait!

    PRODUCT: CHICKEN ROCKET
I was flipping through my latest copy of STUFF Magazine and whereas STUFF is normally a 3 minute read for me (due to it's absolutely juvenile humor), I really became engrossed in a couple articles. Namely one of the review of the Chicken Rocket.

Though, the article really did not give much in the way of details on how to cook a chicken once it's on the rocket. Jaime explained to me that it's just like cooking one with a pop can shoved up it.

So, essentially, this has been a good reason to put this picture on this post. But, if you want to cook a chicken this way and want to skip the $25 for the official "stake" to impale your chicken on and would rather shove the king of beers up there, click here.

other articles of note in this month's STUFF magazine: Al Jorgenson interview, Janes Addiction review/math
